what is a small easy pet to take care of?

Im 15 and I want to get a Small Pet I can keep in my room that isnt too hard to take care of. I dont want something like a fish, that can’t be played with or taken out of it’s cage. Also nothing that smells and makes a mess like a hamster or a lizard.
I dont want answers like "no pet is easy to take care of".

all animals require good care. essentially none are ‘easy’ to take care of, so if you aren’t devoted then don’t get one. Also all animals will tend to make some kind of mess and need cleaning after and most also make smells.

There’s no such thing as a pet that doesn’t make a mess of some kind. Maybe you should just go over to a friend’s house and enjoy their pets until you are ready for the responsibility.

Well you kind of deleted almost every common household pet there.
There is a hamster though that I always HIGHLY recommend to people. It’s called a Chinese Dwarf Hamster. They are small, docile, and easy to take care of. Since they are so small the cage maintenance isn’t as high as most hamsters. Look that kind of hamster up. I have never been bitten by one either. Good Luck!

Hmm, hamsters arent smelly if you clean their cage, and they dont make a mess if you have a good cage. They are great pets and are very smart. They are cuddley, and probally one of the easiest pet to take care of. But if you reall dont want a hamster, maybe a rabbit?
Rabbits arent as easy to care for, but they are amazingly sweet, fun, adorable, and they are incredibly smart! Rabbits can be walked on a harness, and taught agility! They do need a nice size cage, but they are clean. You can also get them for pretty cheap, depending on the breed you want. There are also rabbits in shelters, that are already spayed and neutered. (Rabbits dont need to be neautered/spayed, but it helps their temperment, and males spraying)If your interested, check out craigslist.com and put in your location. Usually theres alot of people giving baby rabbits away, or selling them for pretty cheap. Thats were i got all my bunnies! Good Luck!
