I’ve always really wanted a pet that isn’t along the lines of gerbils, hamsters, fish, and parakeets. Does anyone know an Exotic Pet that’s not to expensive, but not to cheap? I want something cute and lovable!
Chinchillas
Costs: $150-$190 @ Pet stores $150-$350 @ breeder I would suggest going onto Pet Finder, Kijiji, Craigslist or something of that sort. There are many chinchillas that need homes and the owners are willing to give them away for free!
Ferrets are very cute and playful!
Turtles/Tortoises are amazing if you ask me. And really if you play with them everyday they will be used to human interaction. They are very cool animals. Cost depends on what type you want. You may not be into amphibians, but you should just go to this website and look at them. There are some that are really adorable! http://www.theturtlesource.com/photo_gallery2.asp
Sugar Gliders cost $80-$200 dollars. Depends who you purchase them from. You could also look at Pet Finder and other websites for them.
Degu- They are very cool, but pretty exotic. They are a small rodent incase you are wondering. Just Google images for them! They do require special care.
Hedgehogs are pretty neat little pets. They do have prickly quills though, so you will have to be OK with that. Don’t worry, they are not going to try to stab you with them! In fact, I have a hedgehog and I can pet her quills. They’re prickly, but they don’t hurt. They cost about $150-$300.
Remember to check your state laws first! Some states do not allow you to own hedgehogs, degus, and other small exotics. And research their care beforehand! They are special animals, they require special care. If you need help find info on them feel free to email me! Monkus83@yahoo.com

Maybe not cute but snakes make good pets. You can get them small and they do not cost much. They can live in your bed room without much trouble. If you keep them under your bed for example they will keep the room clear of mice and spiders and such. So thats an added bonus.

I think a ferret is best.
When you want to relax and snuggle,
they’ll fall asleep right on you!
But if you want to be energetic and roll around a bit,
they’re up for that too!
I have a ferret of my own, it’s my first ferret, and I honestly adore her to pieces.
Only problem, they stink, but there’s shampoos and stuff to cut down the odor.

Visit your nearest specialist reptile/exotic dealer and look around.
It’s almost certain that you wont come away empty handed or at the very least a head full of ideas

I was in the same situation and decided to get a Bengal cat. They are part asian leopard and part domestic cat. The more wild they are the more money they cost.
My bengals name is Scratch. He is a hyperactive kitty that weighs about 20lbs. He is muscular and spotted like a leopard. They are great pets, loving and cuddly, but more like a dog when it comes to play time. They run and jump and love to play fetch.

Well, the best would actually be a hedgehog! Hedgehogs are actual pets, but in some states like California and a few other states, they are illegal. Oh, and if you like it hot in your house, hedgehogs are for you!
Another one is a chinchilla. Chinchillas are awesome! They are good if you like the cold.
So do some research, only you know what kind of pet you are most compatible with, so good luck!
