Where can I play with puppies/kittens for free without adopting?

I went to the SPCA, and it used to be that you can open any door and play with the Cute Pets so that they can get attention and I loved it. However, I recently went and you now have to have an adoption specialist come with you into each room, and i feel pressured because I’m not planning on adopting and they’re asking all these questions about which dogs I want to adopt. Isn’t there a place where you can just play with them so they don’t get lonely without feeling pressured to adopt them?

Depending on where you live you should look up volunteer services with animals.
I used to volunteer at a place called "pets in need". I loved it, and was always happy to see the animals adopted into good homes!
